Conversion of Methanol to Gasoline (CMG)

The conversion of methanol to gasoline (CMG) is also known as the MTG (Methanol-to-Gasoline) process. The CMG-1 catalyst has a proven track record in industry as a high performance and cost effective alternative for the production of high quality gasoline blending compounds from methanol, e.g. in the MTG process.

CMG-1 is a zeolite based catalyst with excellent hydrothermal stability that is designed to withstand the harsh conditions in the CMG/MTG process as well as multiple in-situ regenerations. CMG-1 is typically used as a second stage catalyst in a DME reactor loaded with the SynMax®100 catalyst.
